In this era of Covid 19 we are all used to wearing masks to protect ourselves and others. In doing so, they can conceal our identity and hide our true feelings and thoughts. Masks have for centuries been used in cultural ceremonies and rituals to play characters or conceal their true identity. Masks can be flippant and decorative, or they can conceal more sinister motives.
